Households, energy, renovation (Video report)
Energy-efficient home renovations in Hungary presented a dual opportunity: reducing CO₂ emissions while helping families lower their energy costs. The challenge was to effectively communicate these benefits in a way that would resonate with a broad audience.
With my team, I produced a visually engaging video report based on research conducted on home energy refurbishments. Instead of relying on conventional graphic styles, we used a unique paper-cut technique combined with live animation and stop-motion. Over 150 individual buildings were intricately crafted to create a detailed 3D model of a city, complete with streetscapes and even a furnished apartment interior.
The video emphasized through simple messaging how small actions can lead to significant environmental and financial benefits. Completed in collaboration with our partner, Energiaklub, the project successfully connected technical concepts to relatable, tangible outcomes, making it a powerful tool for raising awareness and inspiring action.
